Finfo: Look Book Photo Shoot
Working on the same project for months can make anyone feel like there’s no end. The day of the Finfo photo shoot was when I felt my capstone come together. Seeing other people wear the shoes that I made felt surreal. In this blog post, I write about the concept behind the photos and share a few photos that didn’t make the final look book.

One of the reasons why I chose to use the Waling-waling as the theme of the Vanda collection is to pay homage to my grandparents.
The art direction behind the photos is inspired by Sundays at my grandparents’ house. Sundays felt airy, light, and bright. I wanted the set to be simple with props that seem like decor you find around a house: rugs, chairs, plants, and vases.
Meanwhile, the styling of the shoot demonstrates that the Vanda collection fits well with current fashion. Neutral tones are brightened up by pops of colour from key clothing items and the shoes.
The shoot went by so smoothly thanks to my amazing team. After the shoot wrapped up, my heart felt so full. I was overwhelmed with the great progress I’ve made with Finfo and the support of the people around me.
I finished my capstone project and submitted everything last week. Although I am disappointed that our graduation show got cancelled, I am happy that I can share Finfo with you through this website. Reflecting back on the last 8 months, I feel extremely accomplished to have ended my university experience with a project like Finfo. I immersed myself in the research topic and the creative process, often pushing my boundaries. In the end, I learned and grew more than I could’ve imagined.
Thank you for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed this and all of the other Finfo posts.
